Goals
The principal goal of this task is to set up, maintain and evaluate mechanisms to collaborate with the industry. This includes the analysis of best practices, the elaboration of needs on know-how and technology provisioning, but also on the frame in which it is provided (legal, security, economic). The aim is to derive on a common understanding on how to deal best with industrial users and in how far this can be integrated into existing mechanisms without interfering with other, already established, customer bases.
Activities
The use of training as a mechanism for engaging with industry was identified, even if progress on reaching out to industry was slow. The lack of a policy for managing commercial data within the HPC environments was identified.
