The ISC High Performance conference taking place from May 21-25 in Hamburg, Germany, will feature an Intel eXtreme Performance Users Group (IXPUG) workshop entitled “Communication, I/O, and Storage at Scale on Next-Generation Platforms” on its final day.

The session is aimed at system architects, code developers, researcher scientists, system providers and industry luminaries who are interested in learning about the interplay of next-generation hardware and software solutions for communication, I/O, and storage subsystems tied together to support HPC and data analytics at the systems level, and how to use them effectively.

The goal is to raise awareness in the ISC community of the emerging complexity and heterogeneity of upcoming communication, I/O and storage subsystems as part of system architectures and to also reflect on how these components can be beneficial for scalability of workloads for both AI and HPC.

Submission of proposals to join the panel of experts can be made until March 31, following some criteria that, like the topics of interest, can be consulted through the IXPUG page.

IXPUG is an independent user group whose mission is to provide a forum for the free exchange of information that improves the usability and efficiency of scientific and technical applications running on large high performance computing (HPC) systems using Intel® architecture.
