FCCN – the Scientific Computing Unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) – received yesterday, March 29th, the members of EuroCC 2 for the meeting that officially marked the national start of the project.
Throughout the day, new and old members had the floor to present their tasks to the whole team, as well as the commitments and goals for the next three years.
Together, they reflected on the good and bad that could be taken from the first edition and have set clear goals and new strategies to continue on this path of raising the country to the highest level in supercomputing.
The University of Algarve, the University of Coimbra, the University of Évora, the University of Porto, the University of Trás-os-montes and Alto Douro, the Instituto Superior Técnico, the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP), the Institute for Systems Engineering and Computers, Technology and Science (INESC TEC) and the FCT are ready for EuroCC 2.
