Today, a constructive and informative meeting transpired between the representatives of two national entities within the EuroCC2 consortium: the National Competence Center (NCC) Portugal and NCC Norway. The venue for this significant encounter was the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP) located in Lisbon, serving as a conducive environment for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two centers.
Throughout the course of the meeting, the representatives from both countries synergized their efforts to facilitate the dissemination of expertise and insights in the realm of high-performance computing (HPC) and its associated domains. The focal point of the discussions revolved around presenting the latest advancements within their respective national HPC infrastructures as well as success stories.
NCC Portugal, with its commitment to advancing computational skills in Portugal, collaborated with the recently established NCC Norway, which is under the management of Sigma2. This combined effort provided a platform for the exploration of synergies, the exchange of best practices, and the fortification of collaborative ties. The ultimate aim was to enhance the potential of HPC in both countries, fostering a collaborative environment that ensures sustained growth and development in the field.
