NCC Portugal at the 2025 All Hands Meeting of the EuroCC2, CoEs & CASTIEL 2 project

NCC Portugal joined the 2025 All Hands Meeting in Tallinn, strengthening collaborations ahead of the next edition of the project.

From 23 to 25 September 2025, Tallinn (Estonia) hosted this year’s All Hands Meeting of the EuroCC2, CoEs & CASTIEL 2 project. The event brought together representatives from Europe’s National Competence Centres (NCCs) and Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to exchange updates and align future strategies for the EuroCC network.

Over three days, the programme included sessions on visibility in the HPC ecosystem, national network synergies, sustainability beyond the current JU funding, and key takeaways for the future EuroCC3. Participants joined plenary discussions, working groups and interactive workshops, including sessions focused on improving project communication.

NCC Portugal was represented by a three-person team, actively participating in the poster session, showcasing national activities and services, and in the communication workshop, reinforcing the importance of outreach and good practices in the European HPC landscape.

A key highlight of the closing session was the announcement that the next All Hands Meeting will be hosted in Portugal, a recognition of the country’s active role within the EuroCC network and its growing relevance in advanced computing through FCT and CNCA.

These annual meetings are essential moments for strengthening collaboration, aligning European strategies and fostering innovation in high performance computing.
