AI Factory Workshops explore practical LLM applications in Lisbon and Guimarães

Hands-on sessions on LLMs and innovation will take place on 22 and 29 January 2026, in Lisbon and Guimarães.

The Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the National Advanced Computing Centre (CNCA) are organising the first in-person AI Factory Workshops, with two sessions taking place in Lisbon (22 January) and Guimarães (29 January).

These events are designed for startups, SMEs, researchers, innovation managers, tech centres, and public sector entities, focusing on the practical application of Large Language Models (LLMs) to support technological and business innovation.

Each workshop will include:

  • Presentation of the BSC AI Factory project
  • Real-world use case: amália LLM (Lisbon only)
  • Hands-on workshop: Building solutions with LLMs
  • Networking and collaboration opportunities

Participation is free, but registration is required.
Logistics and access details will be shared with registered participants.

These events are part of the broader mission of FCT and CNCA to empower the national ecosystem in the field of Artificial Intelligence, with the support of the AI Factories Portugal initiative.
