The annual EGI2026 Conference will take place from September 21–25, 2026, in Ghent, Belgium, bringing together the international community of scientific computing, digital infrastructures, and data-driven research. The event will be hosted at the historic De Bijloke venue, a 13th-century hospital and abbey now used for cultural and conference events.
The Call for Contributions and Partner Programme are now officially open.
The EGI Conference is a widely recognised event that gathers scientists, service providers, technical experts, policymakers, and early-career researchers to present their work, participate in workshops and trainings, attend project meetings, and strengthen collaboration across the European research infrastructure ecosystem.
Participants are invited to submit proposals for talks, posters, and demonstrations and become part of the official programme. The Call for Contributions is open from February 24 until April 13, 2026 (23:59 CET), with notifications of acceptance sent by April 30. Contribution formats include short talks, long talks, posters, and live demonstrations.
The conference topics cover a wide spectrum of advanced computing and data innovation areas, including hybrid compute infrastructures (HPC, HTC, cloud, edge, quantum), Artificial Intelligence, digital twins, green computing, data spaces, sensitive data processing, federated security, Open Science, sustainability, digital sovereignty, and innovation impact in scientific infrastructures.
In parallel, organisations, projects, and companies can apply to become EGI2026 partners. Selected partners will have exhibition space during the core conference days and additional opportunities to engage with participants through side events, workshops, or sponsored talks. Applications for partnership are open until June 1, 2026, subject to availability.
