The National Network for Advanced Computing (RNCA) is organizing a new information session on the 3rd Advanced Computing Projects Call and invites all those interested in applying for the A0 and A1 typologies (with or without experience) to participate. It is scheduled for March 28th, Tuesday, via zoom, starting at noon.
The agenda is already being planned and, so far, includes the following topics:
- Are there supercomputers in Portugal? To whom are they available? How to access?
- Practical examples
- Registration for 1:1 support in filling out A0 applications
- Questions and answers
The Experimental access typology (A0) is recommended for inexperienced teams, with no history of using RNCA resources or visualization. In turn, the Preparatory or Development access (A1) is, according to RNCA, advised for “software performance testing, code optimization, scalability testing, benchmarking, re-factoring or for short duration projects”.
Prior registration is required to participate in the information session. It can be done here.
Applications for these types of grants are still underway, and can be submitted until May 31st. Detailed information is available on the FCT and EuroCC websites.
