BigHPC project webinar series comes to a perfect end

The session “Three years contributing to improving Big Data Applications “support” in HPC” will be the last of the project. It is scheduled for the early afternoon of May 18.

The Big HPC project is coming to an end and, with it, the webinar series “Towards a new generation of Big Data & HPC applications” also comes to an end.

The last session, to be held on May 18, at 3:00 pm (GMT+1), will present the work that has been done during the three years of the project, showing what has been produced and the advantages of using the BigHPC platform for the execution of large-scale computing jobs.

Entitled “Three years contributing to improving Big Data Applications “support” in HPC”, the webinar will be conducted by Bruno Antunes, researcher and programmer of Wavesys products at Wavecom, and João Paulo, guest professor and assistant researcher at the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC) and the University of Minho, by Samuel Bernardo, software engineer at the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP) and, finally, by John Cazes, director of the High Performance Computing group at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). It will be moderated by Ricardo Macedo, researcher at INESC TEC’s HASLab.
