From April 27 to 29, 2026, INESC TEC will host the EPICURE Hackathon: Code Optimisation for Heterogeneous HPC Environments, a hands-on initiative focused on improving application performance in advanced computing environments. The event will be held in a hybrid format, both on-site in Porto and online, and is organised by INESC TEC within the European EPICURE project, with active participation from the Deucalion supercomputer and the National Advanced Computing Centre (CNCA).
Over three days, developers, researchers, and HPC users will work on real-world optimisation challenges for CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators, supported by experts from the European HPC community. The hackathon promotes knowledge exchange, best practices in parallelisation, scalability and profiling, and collaborative development of high-performance solutions. Participation is free but mandatory, with registration open until April 15, 2026, and on-site attendance limited to 30 participants.
