Seven fellowships were awarded to master students with research projects related to HPC/Advanced Computing with potential for tech transfer.
One of the EuroCC Portugal members, Instituto Superior Técnico from the Universidade de Lisboa, started a pilot program for graduate students conducting a master’s degree in high-performance or advanced computation subjects. In total, seven fellows were awarded scholarships with topics from a wide range of scientific and technological areas with potential for tech transfer. The program aims to further develop and draw attention to advanced computing progress in Portugal and to foster the transfer of technological transfer skills. Additionally, the program is also serving as a pilot for other institutions to implement similar initiatives. The kick-off of the program with all the MSc fellows and supervisors will be held March 15 at IST.
