New Introduction Training for VISION, the AI Cluster

On October 4th at 11:30 AM, the second online training session “Introduction to the VISION Artificial Intelligence Cluster” will take place. This session follows shortly after the launch of AIvLAB, an innovative virtual lab that promotes experimentation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

VISION is a high-performance computing (HPC) system specifically designed for Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Data Science projects. Developed by the University of Évora, the VISION cluster consists of two NVIDIA DGX A100 servers, featuring 16 NVIDIA A100 GPUs, 2 TB of RAM, and 256 CPU cores, providing a powerful infrastructure for processing and analyzing large volumes of data.

In this second training session, participants will have the opportunity to explore VISION in detail, learning about its organization, how to access the system, and how to use it to tackle AI challenges. The session will also cover job submission processes and provide practical examples to help attendees make the most of this advanced infrastructure.

Topics to be covered:
  • Introduction to the VISION Cluster
  • System structure and capabilities
  • How to access the system
  • Job submission process
  • Practical usage examples
